Hannah Höch
Hanna was a prominent female artist in Germany shortly after WW1. This montage named “Cut with the Kitchen Knife Dada Through the Last Weimar Beer-Belly Cultural Epoch in Germany”was made in 1919 and 1920 and reflects Hannah's political views and social issues during this transitional time in German society. Shortly after Germany's loss in the war, Germany was experiencing political chaos.
This Montage reflects those issues and portrays the significance of such issues. Hannah felt strongly about such events and this work was a way of showing her views.
